People, Kids, Always, same, Younger, Hand, downs

Question by yeah my sons have girl names...and?!: For people with younger same sex kids, do you always use hand me downs?

i have a soon to be 2 year old and im due in 4 weeks with my second child. both are boys. im curious as to how others handle the hand me downs thing. i was thinking to use hand me downs with a few new items until the boys got older and had different styles or just wanted their own clothes. what do you think. is it okay to have the younger one primarily in his older brothers clothes for several years? or do you buy the younger one a new wadrobe even though you have perfectly good clothes that will fit him? im the oldest of four so i very rarely had hand me downs. im thinking it wont matter in the begining because they are so close in age and have no clue.

Hi,
I don't have kids, I am currently 14 and I have an older sister who is 16
When I was younger I always used to get my sisters clothes and I didn't mind at all.
At the minute we have different styles but somethings I would love to be handed down to me.

I don't think using hand-me-downs is a bad idea at all. Your kids will be too young to understand and it saves your money. Its a win win situation!
