Having, People, Kitten, traumatized, seeing

Question by Xenia: can a kitten be traumatized by seeing people having sex?

i'm sure its not unheard of for people to have animals in their room at night and when they decide to have sex with their partner, they just ignore their kitty and do their business. but how does that make the poor little kitty feel? do you think they comprehend this or if they don't register it sexually? does it affect their brain development?
i guess i tend to think of cats more as equals, and therefore kittens more like small children. kittens are like baby substitutes ^_^

I doubt it, but think I would find another room for kitty to be.
