How bad does having sex hurt?

Im 18 a virgin and scared to have sex with my fiancee because he is pretty big and its thick too. Im terrified that it is going to hurt so bad that I will cry. He said that we would take it really slow. Im just wondering how bad did it hurt your first time? Did you bleed? I know these questions are kind of personal but Im really curious about how bad it will hurt me. I know everyone is different. He has already had sex with three girls but I dont think any of them were virgins
